Infectious disease transcription service
Are you an infectious disease specialist, in need of assistance for infectious disease transcription service?
ID specialist have multi-level tasks of treating infections of the sinuses, heart, brain, lungs, urinary tract, bowel, bones and pelvic organs, and quite obviously the document workflow of the clinic has to be well organized in order to provide maximum efficiency and care to the patients visiting the clinic.
Many ID clinics are faced with issues which impede their document workflow, because medical transcribers are not easily available for hire to work for the in-house transcription division of the practice. We offer infectious disease transcription service to the specialty practices to ensure that their document workflow is stable, and without obstacles.
Toll free phone-in-dictation or through an EMR login choose any service option
The ID clinics can choose our toll free phone-in-dictation to narrate patient encounters in our secure servers. We document the dictations making them available to the physicians for review. The phone-in-dictation menu offers various options to the physicians, for example the dictations recorded or patient data that is documented and stored on our servers are secure and the standards are based as per HIPAA Compliant encryption guidelines.
Our transcription services are also solicited by ID specialties for documenting narrations read into the centralized voice recording system of an EMR application. The IT staff of the clinic in coordination with the technical team of our company, setup a Virtual Private Network (VPN) with the EMR application software that is used by the infectious disease healthcare facility. This offers a login access to the transcribers of our company, who access the dictations and document them.
We also setup a LAN-to LAN encrypted connectivity with the EMR application used by the health care facility, the login access facilitates our transcribers to document the dictations, more or less in a same manner as how it is done for VPN connected EMR applications. Our services are also available for web based EMR applications that are used by clinics. These are browser based applications and the login access is through a browser login. The transcription services provided are again on similar lines as Client-Server EMRs.
8.5¢ to 9.5¢ for a line of 65 characters, isn’t the cost a pittance?
Paying $14 to $15 an hour to an in-house transcriber and investing a fortune on hardware/software, costs the clinics roughly 35¢ to 38¢ for documenting a 65 character line. We charge clinics only 8.5¢ to 9.5¢ for the same effort, isn’t that cost a pittance in comparison to the costs that clinics incur .The huge cost difference does away the need to have an in-house transcription division.
24 x 7 documentation workflow versus 8 hours/5 days a week the turn-around time advantage
Our findings reveal that ID clinics that had an in-house transcription division were able to process the documented reports with a turn-around-time of 36 hours and if they were inadequately staffed, the turn-around-time took nearly 48 hours. This was because the in-house transcribers worked for just 8 hours/5 days a week.
Our operations are 24 x 7 and our transcribers work in three different shifts and as a result we process the physician narrations with a turn-around-time of just 12 hours. The ID clinics are thus assured of a stable documentation workflow.
A clean track record of upholding HIPAA regulations
We have been offering transcription services to healthcare facilities for more than 10 years now and we have a clean track record of upholding and observing HIPAA regulations. Our systems and servers are secure and based on HIPAA compliant encryption guidelines. The VPN setup or the LAN setup with healthcare facilities EMR is as per HL7 standards.Infectious Disease Specific EMR/EHR templates used for documenting reports
